About the Lodge

Redoubt Bay Lodge, located at the entrance to Lake Clark Pass offers the only accommodations within a 171,000 acre critical habitat area, and is the only 5-acre privately owned property in the region! This small, rustic lodge sits on a small knoll overlooking Big River Lakes, a chain of lakes whose waters lead to the Big River and on to Cook Inlet. Redoubt Bay Lodge is located 50 minutes southwest of Anchorage. The flight via float plane offers spectacular scenic views of the Cook Inlet and the western edge of the Kenai Peninsula.

At Redoubt Bay Lodge, the emphasis is on viewing wildlife and exploring the lakes surrounding the lodge within the natural setting of the spectacular Chigmit Mountains. The atmosphere at Redoubt Bay Lodge is pleasantly casual and “outdoorsy”. Our rustic setting is best suited for those who wish to explore our unique and wild setting. The main lodge is an historical hunting cabin that has been converted into our dining area. Our chefs prepare all meals at the lodge. Three small lakeside guest cabins, a cozy hand-hewn log main lodge, and world-class staff and service make the stay at Redoubt Bay Lodge a memorable addition to your Alaskan adventure.

Redoubt Bay Lodge is family owned and operated with over 45 years of experience operating in Alaska’s most remote backcountry. Lifelong Alaskans, Doug and Kelli Brewer, have enjoyed these wilderness experiences and activities firsthand and highlight the best to share with their guests.

In Addition:

There is a small gift shop and bar area in the day lodge, limited Wi-Fi in the main lodge only, and an Alaskana library to peruse.
